A Message From the Editor

Good morning. ChatGPT found itself in court again last week, but for a very different reason this time. In a 32-page concurrence, Judge Kevin Newsom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit not only admitted to using ChatGPT to help inform his analysis of a key issue in an insurance appeal, he outlined exactly how he used it and encouraged other judges and lawyers in the legal community to consider following his lead. You can read more about the unique opinion in today's featured article.
