With all this talk about the "new rules" of etiquette (shout out to New York Magazine), lest we forget the core part of being a New Yorker: the freedom to be rude. While we would all rather mind our own business for the most part, those who flagrantly flout those rules of polite society (or seem completely oblivious to them) deserve to get checked on it.
