A wintry mix of rain, sleet, snow, cold temps tonight and Friday. Starting this afternoon, the stormy weather will be concentrated in northwestern and west-central Minnesota, dropping sleet, light freezing rain and snow. By later this evening, the wintry mix will arrive in southern Minnesota and spread to the east overnight. 


COVID-19 in Minnesota today: Another death reported, 53 new cases; reopening schools ‘unlikely,’ says Walz. The governor had ordered schools closed through early May, but today said it was unlikely that they will reopen this school year as the state works to check the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Walz’s comments came hours after officials reported that 18 Minnesotans had died from COVID-19, up one from Wednesday, with 38 people, including a 25-year-old, now in intensive care.
