NATIONAL: Launching this year, WeWork and 360 Destination Group have announced a new partnership that will help customers find event spaces for corporate and social gatherings. Customers will be able to source venue options across WeWork's portfolio in the U.S. and Canada, and also receive end-to-end event management services from 360 Destination Group. The companies hope to have 102 locations online by July. CINCINNATI, OHIO: Fern, an event strategy and production company, has teamed up with ShareMy.Health, a leading healthcare cloud platform, to launch a digital health passport app to help people transition back to live events safely. The passport is HIPAA compliant and allows individuals to control who sees their health status; it can also provide vaccine credentials and verify COVID-19 testing. KENNETT SQUARE, PA: Longwood Gardens, a 1,000-acre botanical garden spanning the Chester County countryside, is planning a $250 million makeover projected to stretch through 2024. The undertaking will focus on 17 acres in the heart of Longwood, including the construction of a new West Conservatory, plus a new restaurant, private event space and more. LOS ANGELES: The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and American Cinematheque are hosting their 17th annual screening series virtually from Feb. 22-26, as well as a symposium on Feb. 27 leading up to the Golden Globe Awards on Feb. 28. The free symposium will feature a virtual panel with all five directors of the films nominated in the “Best Motion Picture—Foreign Language” category. ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts in Lake Buena Vista is slated to open in July 2021, making it the newest addition to the theme park's Swan Reserve. The Marriott property is still under construction and will boast 14 stories with 349 guestrooms and 149 suites, plus amenities such as a spa, five pools and 18 restaurants.
